Hanging by a Thread - Erik ten Hag

Rumor has it he has a new list.  Now Ronaldo is no longer an irritant, we can’t call it the naughty list.  He had a list in the summer and some of the names on that list are back in disfavor.  Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans.  Casemiro, Eriksen, Varane.  Jadon Sancho.  You could get rid of most of the team and not feel a twinge.  Obviously Antony and Martial – total losers.  Maguire and Lindelof – defensive pinball afficionados!  But for really big money I would get rid of….

Bruno Fernandes – there’s a man who has outlived his usefulness!  How can he be the captain on the field?  He cheats, he’s stupid, he’s only in it for himself!  ten Hag – you should have made Ronaldo captain if you were looking for a petulant, self-absorbed has-been!

Jim Ratcliffe obviously has his own thoughts.  And to the great admiration of millions of United fans around the world he is looking to restore Manchester United to the pantheon.  Also, in my book, he gets a few browmie points for not being an Arab.  The Arabs are trying to steal football like they stole golf and Formula 1. Call me prejudiced, but I swear the Arabs are anathema to our beloved game.

But coming back to ten Hag I fear he may not get the leisure to execute his plan and purge United of the worst collection of losers the club has ever allowed to put on the hallowed red and white!  Let’s face it, United fans, he’s clueless.  And in my view with an energetic and clear-thinking owner now at the helm, ten Hag is close to being history!
